Process Chart is one of Seven Tool for Total Quality Management. Process Chart or Process Diagrams (Flow Charts) shows sequence of events in process, and depicts activity relationships. Process Chart has many uses; identify data collection points, find problem sources, identify places for improvement, and identify where travel distances can be reduced.

Waste reduction is one aspect that is very necessary considered in JIT and lean production. As previously disclosed that : Lean production supplies the customer with their exact wants when the customer wants it without waste. Waste is anything that does not add value from the customer point of view. Examples are Storage, inspection, delay, waiting in queues, and defective products. Storage, inspection, delay, waiting in queues, and defective products do not add value and are 100% waste.
